The JAMES S6 emergency alarm watch provides support for people with mild dementia thanks to its professional anti-wandering feature.

Maria is 93 years old and very proud to still be living in her apartment in Vienna. However, recently this lively older lady began showing signs of dementia and, given her advanced age, was forgetting her way home. This had already led to a dangerous situation, as Maria went out alone and then couldn't find her way back to her apartment.

The desperate search for the elderly lady lasted late into the night – eventually involving a helicopter. Maria was finally found in the early morning hours, suffering from severe hypothermia and dehydration.

Her concerned grandson, Gerhard, wants to do everything in his power to prevent such terrible scenarios from happening again in the future. However, Gerhard works full-time and therefore cannot properly care for Maria. As a result, Maria recently began receiving support from Anna, a caregiver available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But sometimes Anna also needs to go shopping or take a little time for herself. However, because of Maria's dementia and frailty, Anna doesn't want to leave Maria alone. What if she falls or wanders off again?

To give the family peace of mind and allow Anna to enjoy her short outings worry-free, Gerhard gifted his grandmother the JAMES S6 emergency watch. Gerhard's family is already supported by JAMES and has since been enjoying greater safety and freedom. With the emergency watch, Maria gets reliable protection from wandering, including a designated movement zone. If she leaves the zone, the watch automatically activates an alarm and contacts both her grandson, Gerhard, and her caregiver, Ana. If Maria gets lost again, Gerhard and Ana can check her location in the JAMES app at any time and take appropriate action.

However, this modern smartwatch protects Maria not only when she is out and about, but also within her own four walls. If Maria feels dizzy, falls, or finds herself in any other emergency situation, help is just a button press away. Dual security: if Maria is unable to press the button, the watch also automatically activates an alarm. Thanks to its built-in fall detection, JAMES detects unusual periods of inactivity and automatically sends a Maria SOS to her relatives and caregivers.

With JAMES, Maria is completely protected, and her relatives and caregivers have peace of mind. What's more, she really likes the elegant watch.
