The JAMES S6 emergency watch supports people with mild dementia thanks to its professional anti-wandering function.

Maria is 93 years old and very proud to still be living in her apartment in Vienna. However, recently the active elderly lady began showing signs of dementia and forgot her advanced age. This had already led to a dangerous situation when Maria went out alone and could no longer find her way back to her apartment.

The desperate search for the elderly lady lasted until late at night – eventually even a helicopter was deployed. Maria was finally found in the early hours of the morning; she was suffering from severe hypothermia and dehydration.

Her concerned grandson Gerhard wants to do everything in his power to prevent such terrible scenarios from happening again in the future. However, Gerhard works full-time and therefore cannot take sufficient care of Maria. For this reason, Maria has recently been receiving support from Anna, a caregiver who is available around the clock. But sometimes Anna also has to go shopping or take a little time for herself. However, due to Maria’s dementia and frailty, Anna does not want to leave her alone. What if she falls or runs off again?

To give the family peace of mind and allow Anna to enjoy her short outings without worry, Gerhard gave his grandmother the JAMES S6 emergency watch. Gerhard’s family is already supported by JAMES and has since enjoyed greater safety and freedom. With the emergency watch, Maria has reliable protection against wandering, including a defined movement zone. If she leaves this area, the watch automatically triggers an alarm and notifies both her grandson Gerhard and her caregiver Anna. Should Maria become lost again, Gerhard and Anna can view her location at any time in the JAMES app and take appropriate action.

However, this modern smartwatch not only protects Maria while she is out and about, but also within her own four walls. If Maria becomes dizzy, falls, or finds herself in another emergency situation, help is only a button press away. Double safety: Should Maria be unable to press the button, the watch will also automatically trigger an alarm. Thanks to integrated fall detection, JAMES detects unusual periods of inactivity and automatically sends an SOS to her relatives and caregivers.

With JAMES, Maria is comprehensively protected, and her relatives and caregivers can rest assured. She also really likes the stylish watch.
