JAMES® TeleCare platform

Cloud-based platform for professional organisations

The JAMES® TeleCare platform is the technological heart of ilogs – a state-of-the-art, cloud-based IoT solution for the secure networking of people, organisations, devices and digital services in the health and care sector. It was developed specifically for professional use in nursing, home emergency call systems, care and safety-critical working environments – with a clear goal: to enable people with increased support needs to live safe, independent and well-connected lives.

Networked health and safety infrastructure

The platform connects a wide range of smart devices – including emergency watches, tablets, smart rings, vital sign monitors, sensors and smartphones – with organisations such as home emergency call services, care facilities, rescue control centres and social service providers. Family members are also involved as important players. This comprehensive networking enables a holistic, coordinated care experience – both at home and on the go.

Device management and integration (IoT device layer)

All connected devices, such as emergency watches, tablets, smartphones, vital trackers, smart rings and sensors, can be registered, monitored and updated via a central management interface. The platform supports both proprietary devices and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) approaches, thus enabling maximum flexibility.
Devices can be assigned specific functions (e.g. emergency call, location sharing, vital data transmission) and can be remotely maintained and updated via the platform – including firmware management and SIM monitoring.

Vital signs monitoring (health and safety layer)

The platform enables the continuous recording, processing and visualisation of vital data such as heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, temperature, movement patterns and sleep behaviour. This data is transmitted securely and stored in compliance with the GDPR.
An intelligent alarm system detects critical deviations or inactivity, can automatically notify relatives, care services or control centres, and thus enables early intervention.
AI-based algorithms for pattern recognition and prediction of risk events are also gradually being integrated.

Communication & Alerting (Communication Layer)

The platform enables secure, data protection-compliant communication between all parties involved: care recipients, relatives, carers and emergency call centres. The following features are integrated:

  • Two-way audio (e.g. via smartwatch or tablet)
  • Video communication and chat (e.g. JAMES Tablet)
  • Real-time status notifications (e.g. arriving/leaving the house)
  • Automated escalation chains in emergencies

Seamless connection to alarm centres (24/7) is possible, including the transfer of location data and vital parameters. Interfaces to common home emergency call systems are available.

Service and app integration (application layer)

The platform already provides a wide range of services via its own apps and third-party apps:

  • Family member app for family members for care and communication
  • James4Sales – digital sales support for organisations
  • Integration of video training, reminder systems and forms
  • Extensibility via APIs (e.g. for care documentation, billing)

The platform can be expanded in a modular fashion, allowing organisations to activate or deactivate individual solutions as needed.

Security & Data Protection (Security Layer)

The James TeleCare platform meets the highest standards of data security, redundancy and compliance:

  • end-to-end encryption
  • Server locations including backups and redundancies in the EU
  • Role-based user management & access controls
  • Audit-compliant log files
  • Compliance with the GDPR and common eHealth standards

Target groups & areas of application

home emergency call services

Expansion of traditional home emergency call systems to include mobile, flexible components such as watches, apps, or tablets. The platform also supports white label apps, customer management, and close integration with control centres – all from a single source.

Care and nursing facilities

For nursing homes, assisted living and mobile care, the platform offers solutions for digital care, resident safety, training and communication. Wearables also support the safety of care workers (e.g. lone workers).

Families & Relatives

The family app makes it easy to involve family members. They can view vital data, locations (if shared) and the general condition of the person being cared for. The platform reduces uncertainty and promotes confidence in the care provided.

Lone workers & social services

The platform also covers lone workers with its SafeMotion™ product. It offers safety features such as dead man's switch, standstill detection, alarm button and escalation management – all centrally controllable via the James platform.

Internationally applicable & scalable

The JAMES® TeleCare platform is multi-client capable, multilingual and designed for use in international markets. It runs in a scalable cloud infrastructure and can be connected to existing systems (CRM, ERP, billing) via open interfaces.

It is currently being used successfully in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Poland and Belgium – with thousands of devices and users monitored.

ilogs' solutions give families greater security, connection and relief in everyday life. James stands for digital care – modern, intuitive and designed with people in mind.

Organisations such as home emergency call services and care providers also benefit. Integration into the James TeleCare platform allows them to expand their services and connect relatives, devices and health data.

Emergency call centres are gaining new opportunities. They can offer contact with relatives as an additional service and design their alarm chains flexibly.

Additional services such as key deposit can be easily integrated. ilogs provides the digital infrastructure for this – not the service itself.
